Adel Altaweel was born in 1995 in the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza, Palestine. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Al-Aqsa University in Gaza and then continued his academic career by studying for a Diploma in Art History at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts (ENS) in Paris, France.

He is a member of the Union of Palestinian Artists. Since arriving in France in 2024, he has resided in Paris, where he continues to develop his artistic practice.

The artist is concerned with humanitarian and social issues, and draws on archives and memory in his works to bear witness to the past, reality, and details of daily life under war. He uses various media, including drawing, engraving, sculpture, and installation, to address contemporary themes, most notably Palestinian identity and the experience of refugee camps.

He has participated in numerous group exhibitions locally and internationally and has contributed to international research seminars and workshops. In addition to his artistic experience, he was also a key speaker and participant in the film "Who Is Still Alive", a natural extension of his artistic and humanitarian commitment.
