Mai Elshaer
Mai Elshaer was born in 2002 in Rafah, Palestine. May is a visual artist with a degree in business administration. She currently resides in South Africa and is participating in an art fellowship at the University of Cape Town. She has participated in numerous local and international exhibitions and has worked in art and theater therapy for children. She uses art as a means of communication, expression, and building cultural bridges. Her work stems from a deep desire to create an honest visual dialogue between the artwork and the viewer, exploring the complex relationship between beauty and reality. Through her art, she seeks to reveal the beauty inherent in everyday life and use art as a therapeutic tool.
She was part of Sahab Urgent Grant Program 2025.
