Sohail Salem
Sohail Salem is a visual artist born in Gaza City in 1974.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Al-Aqsa University. He is a founding member of Eltiqa Contemporary Art Group. He was awarded an artist residency at the Summer Academy of Arts - Khalid Shoman Foundation - Jordan. He was awarded an artist residency at Art de Lille - Geneva - Switzerland in 2007. He was awarded another artist residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris - France in 2010.
He has participated in numerous local and international exhibitions and served as supervisor of the GCAP contemporary arts training programme for young people, organised by Eltiqa Gallery in 2014.
Suhail has produced four solo exhibitions and works as a professor of fine arts at Al-Aqsa University.
He participated to the Urgent Grant Program 2025.
