Mohammed Abu Hashish, Transformations in Times of War, 2025
This work is a collection of black-and-white photographs in which the artist explores the transformations that have taken place in tools, machines, equipment and devices inside Gaza, and how their functions have changed during the war.
The artist also observes the transformations that have affected everyday facilities, such as pharmacies, barbershops, dental clinics, grocery stores, and petrol stations, and their new forms in the shadow of destruction, which have had a significant impact on daily practices and means of transportation during the war on Gaza, making them dangerous and difficult.
This series of work was created for the Sahab Urgent Grant Programm 2025.
