In Gaza, a city torn apart by war and reduced to rubble, the "Memory of Rubble" project was born as an artistic attempt to revive life from the ashes. From silent rubble, this project emerges to tell the story of a lost past and an unknown future, of memory and identity, of deferred dreams, and of hope that still resists.
The project focuses specifically on cars burned by war bombing, which have been transformed into charred iron and corroded rubble, becoming the primary material for shaping artworks. These vehicles, once a part of everyday life, have become witnesses to collapse. They are being repurposed as platforms for expressing hope, bearing a visual and spiritual Palestinian character.
In the streets of Gaza, where the effects of destruction are accumulating, the project seeks to reduce visual pollution, spread hope through art, and remind people of their identity amid the struggle for survival. In the shadow of a war of extermination, art here is presented not as a luxury, but as a humanitarian necessity. "Memory of Rubble" is not a cosmetic project, but rather an act of symbolic resistance that redefines the relationship between people and place, and provides a moment of breathing space in the heart of the exhausted city.
