Waad Al-Bayari, From Rubble to Dreams, 2025
An art project combining expression, free drawing and clay modelling lasted three days and saw young people participate in a comprehensive artistic journey that began with writing, moved on to drawing and ended with clay modelling. Participants wrote about their original Palestinian towns and the homes they dream of in cities of their dreams. They then transformed their imaginations into drawings representing the warmth and security they had lost, before turning these drawings into small clay models inspired by their ancestors' homes. In their simplicity, these models seem close to our reality today, but they convey greater warmth and security. The workshop provided a space for the participants to express their dreams.
